Antique Star Brooch

Superb and rare star brooch, circa 1840, probably English. Set with a large central pear shape Rose cut diamond, and surrounded by twelve rays, inset with rose cuts and modified emerald cuts. Set on silver-topped gold. A little over 2.5cm diameter.
