Weldons is a fourth-generation family business with over 130 years experience. We are specialists in antique and vintage jewellery, and can give you a no-obligation quote on your jewellery. All purchases are private and confidential, and discretion is at the forefront of what we do. You can visit us at our shop in the heart of Dublin.
Many people come to us with jewellery they’ve inherited, jewellery they haven’t worn for years, or pieces they simply don’t know much about, such as rings, an inherited collection of jewellery of silverware, an heirloom or a piece they don’t know much about. We are here to help you.
A valuable piece of jewellery isn’t necessarily valued simply by its weight in gold. Its age, design, craftsmanship, gemstones, diamonds, maker, rarity, condition and provenance can all influence its value. Plenty of jewellery is worth more than its melt value. These are the pieces we specialise in, and have built our business around understanding these pieces. We don’t want you to unknowingly sell something valuable for its scrap value.
You don’t need to know who made it, how old it is, or even if the stones are geniune, that’s our job!

Don’t worry about getting professional photographs.
Take 4–6 simple photos – the front and back of the piece, any hallmarks or signatures, any stones, and also include any certificates or previous valuations

No. That’s exactly why you should contact us. Send us photographs and whatever information you have, and we’ll let you know whether the piece may be of interest.
Is the valuation free?
We offer a free, no-obligation initial valuation enquiry.
Do I have to sell my jewellery if you make an offer?
No. There is no obligation to accept an offer, however we cannot guarantee an offer will stand, due to the volatility of gold and precious metal prices.
Can I send photographs first?
Yes. We encourage you to send photographs and details initially so we can determine whether the piece may be suitable for us.
Do you buy inherited jewellery?
Yes. We are interested in appropriate antique, vintage, diamond, gemstone and estate jewellery.
