Cluster Ring

A cluster ring is a ring in which a central gemstone is surrounded by a group of smaller gemstones.

The surrounding stones can be arranged closely around the centre to create a flower-like appearance or a continuous halo. Diamond cluster rings have been particularly popular in British jewellery and can be found in Georgian, Victorian and later designs.

The central gemstone may be a diamond or coloured gemstone, while the surrounding stones can be diamonds or a combination of different gemstones. The proportions, setting style and arrangement can vary considerably between individual pieces.

Cluster rings are an important style within antique and vintage jewellery and can range from relatively simple designs to elaborate, highly decorative settings.
